Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain cross-asset pricing and risk applications with high-throughput (10–100Ks messages/sec/thread) and sub-millisecond latency requirements for electronic trading platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Trading, Quantitative, eTrading, and Infrastructure teams to implement pricing and risk models into enterprise-grade, real-time streaming systems.
- Develop and support performant UI components using JavaScript/TypeScript/React alongside Core Java backend services, ensuring robust automated testing and compliance with regulatory and enterprise standards.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of Java development experience focusing on enterprise, data-intensive applications with JDK 17+ and multi-threading expertise.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, or related numerical disciplines.
- Experience working in RHEL Linux 8+ environments and knowledge of Agile/SDLC practices.
- Practical experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Web UI development, and real-time Web APIs (WebSocket and/or SSE).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior engineer comfortable in designing low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems in financial trading environments, particularly for pricing and risk of FICC derivatives.
- Hands-on with performance-focused software engineering, capable of optimizing trade-offs between throughput and latency across backend and frontend components.
- Experienced collaborator with cross-functional teams (Sales, Trading, Quant, eTrading, Infrastructure) in highly regulated global systemically important bank (G-SIB) environments.
