About This Role
- Lead enterprise strategy and engineering for automation that reduces repetitive operational toil and enhances platform reliability and efficiency.
- Own measurement, prioritization, design, and deployment of secure, reusable automation workflows across platform domains with measurable impact on toil and service reliability.
- Provide technical oversight, lead design reviews, and foster a community of practice to drive adoption and maintain high standards for automation engineering.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 15 years overall experience with at least 8 years in software, platform, infrastructure, or reliability engineering focused on production services and automation.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical engineering experience.
- Advanced programming skills in Python or equivalent, including API development, testing, packaging, and secure coding; experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and automation tooling.
- Experience applying SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, incident management) and designing safe production automation controls (access, secrets, rollback, audit).

- Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale automation initiatives that measurably reduce operational toil and improve service resilience.
- Strong technical leadership experience influencing multiple teams without formal authority and mentoring experienced engineers.
- Deep platform engineering expertise in domains like cloud, containers, networks or databases, combined with a product mindset for automation lifecycle and safety controls.
