About This Role
- Source and procure construction materials from overseas suppliers ensuring timely, on-budget, and specification-compliant deliveries for projects in Texas.
- Manage vendor selection, negotiation, purchase order processing, and supply chain logistics including international shipping coordination and compliance with export/import documentation.
- Build and maintain sourcing workflows, vendor lists, and cost/lead time trackers while ensuring materials meet health, sustainability, and U.S. building code standards.
Minimum Requirements
- 3-6 years experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, ideally in construction or building materials.
- Experience with international/export sourcing including working with overseas suppliers and knowledge of export/import documentation and customs processes.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple vendors; proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for order and cost tracking.
- Work Experience Required: 3-6 years; Notice Period: Immediate joining or within 30 days required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in sourcing for U.S. construction projects or knowledgeable about U.S. building codes and certifications.
- Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote, cross-cultural startup environment with high ownership of building processes from scratch.
- Strong communicator in English capable of managing international vendor relationships and coordinating logistics proactively.
