About This Role
- Own design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites for functional, API, and performance testing using Python and frameworks like Robot Framework, PyTest, Playwright.
- Design, execute and analyse performance and load tests using tools such as Locust, JMeter, or k6, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring application reliability before production deployments.
- Integrate automation and performance tests into CI/CD pipelines; collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues, and support quality reporting and mentoring within QA teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation including API automation and performance/load testing.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java; experience with automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, PyTest, or Playwright.
- Ability to work onsite in Bengaluru; availability for evening meetings to collaborate with US-based teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated expertise in building or significantly enhancing automation frameworks from scratch, with a strong focus on scalable, maintainable test code.
- Hands-on experience in performance testing REST APIs, microservices, distributed/cloud applications, and analysing complex system behaviour using observability tools.
- Comfortable operating independently and owning end-to-end quality delivery including mentoring peers and contributing to technical decisions within QA.
