About This Role
- Lead design and delivery of secure, scalable Python/Flask services and REST APIs with a focus on reliability, versioning, and performance.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering teams and external partners, including architecture design and code quality assurance.
- Operate applications on GAIA Application Platform (GAP) and AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, API Gateway) with emphasis on security, observability, and operational readiness.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
- Strong Python and Flask expertise focused on API development and REST design principles.
- Experience with GAIA Application Platform (GAP) and AWS services such as Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, and API Gateway.
- Strong database fundamentals with SQL experience; hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, production support, and secure coding practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven capability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and external stakeholders with accountability for architecture and operational standards.
- Experience integrating and governing enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools in engineering workflows with a focus on correctness, security, and compliance.
- Familiarity or experience with CockroachDB (CRDB), Athena framework, and Hydra database ecosystem is a plus for success in the role.
