About This Role
- Set and monitor SLOs and observability for global cloud and hosting platforms to measure and improve reliability.
- Lead incident response through root-cause resolution and automate anomaly detection, predictive alerting, and self-healing to reduce operational toil.
- Drive multi-year reliability strategy, cross-platform governance, supplier management, and influence technology investment decisions on up to ~GBP 25 million portfolio without direct line authority.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in technology or engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years overall experience with typically 10-12+ years in infrastructure, cloud, platform or reliability engineering including enterprise-scale reliability leadership.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in SRE, reliability engineering, or cloud operations supporting large-scale production cloud and hosting environments.
- Strong technical skills with Azure/GCP, Linux/Windows Servers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), Python, and cloud observability platforms.

- Experienced leader in global enterprise reliability engineering managing critical 24x7 business services across multiple teams and geographies without direct authority.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders (Director+ level) with risk-based, investment-focused recommendations and lead complex systemic failure resolutions.
- Strong engineering grounding with hands-on automation and instrumentation skills to credibly coach teams, drive observability, error-budget discipline, and build reliability capabilities at scale.
