About This Role
- Design, develop, and deploy the Data Access interface serving as the unified client entry point to FactSet Intelligence Platform, ensuring flexibility, performance, and security.
- Own Data Access products and features including bug fixes, performance enhancements, and scalability improvements, supporting high volumes of low-latency requests.
- Build observability with end-to-end request tracing, provenance, and source attribution; optimize query execution using metrics and caching to meet client SLAs; participate in production support via on-call rotation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 3 years software engineering experience focusing on API development, query systems, or data infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ with experience building production-grade, client-facing systems.
- Experience with API design and orchestrating multiple backend systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and implementing scalable, low-latency, high-availability distributed systems, ideally with knowledge of query engine architecture and caching.
- Capable of operating independently and collaboratively on critical infrastructure impacting the client experience.
- Comfortable working at the intersection of data, API, and backend orchestration to deliver secure, reliable, and performant data access.
