About This Role
- Lead architectural decisions and best practices for scalable software applications impacting Walmart associates globally.
- Drive design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation of large scale Java-based backend systems, including microservices and cloud-native solutions.
- Collaborate with product management, business teams, and senior leadership to prioritize roadmaps, participate in hiring, and ensure delivery of solutions meeting quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Minimum Requirements
- 12-15 years of professional experience with software design, development, and automated deployments.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Spark, microservices architecture, and strong system design skills for data-intensive applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Git, Maven, Jenkins, and testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and deploying scalable, distributed Java-based backend systems in cloud environments with hands-on expertise in microservices and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrates strong leadership in guiding architectural standards, collaborating cross-functionally, and building high-performing agile teams in a global technology environment.
- Familiar with advanced data processing, event-driven systems (Kafka), multiple database types (Relational and NoSQL), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk).
