About This Role
- Lead architectural decisions and best practices for scalable software applications impacting Walmart associates globally.
- Drive design, development, implementation, and deployment of large-scale, cutting-edge solutions aligned with strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams including Product, Business, and Architecture to define roadmaps, hire and build high-performing agile teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 12-15 years of experience in software design, development, and automated deployments.
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, Spark, and system design for large-scale data-intensive applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with CICD tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins), cloud-based solutions, relational and NoSQL databases, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven architectures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior engineering leader comfortable driving end-to-end product technical vision and delivery in a large enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise in scalable Java backend systems with strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud native development.
- Experienced in mentoring and leading agile teams, collaborating with global teams, and interfacing with business and product leadership to steer technical and strategic priorities.
