About This Role
- Own and define the technical design of the Azure Cloud platform including reference architectures, patterns, standards to ensure secure, scalable, reliable, and resilient solutions.
- Provide design assurance and technical guidance to engineering teams, enforcing architecture standards before build and integrating AI for intelligent operations.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and security teams on standards, evaluate new technologies based on architectural outcomes, and influence platform roadmap decisions on technical debt and compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in technology or engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years overall work experience with 6-8 years in technology architecture or senior engineering roles, including 3+ years creating reference architectures or standards.
- Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Architect with expertise in deploying and managing Azure Cloud services including AI services.
- Experience in architecture design assurance, security and compliance (including GxP or regulated environments), reliability via SLOs, and setting standards for internal and supplier solutions.

- Experienced senior architect comfortable influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority to adopt standardized patterns.
- Strong judgment in balancing architectural standards with pragmatic exceptions and technical debt management.
- Proficient in clear design documentation, evaluating technology vendors based on measured outcomes, and collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and security functions.
