Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Own and prioritize the backlog and roadmap for Cloud platform products, balancing value, risk, and reliability to maximize platform value to consuming teams.
- Work daily with engineering to deliver and accept work increments, ensuring requirements link explicitly to GSK strategy and measure outcomes rather than outputs.
- Manage stakeholder demand, supplier components, and coordinate with platform leadership on strategy, architecture, and reliability standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 15 years overall work experience including at least 5 years in product ownership or product management, with 2+ years owning platform or infrastructure backlogs.
- Experience delivering Cloud Services as a Product Owner or similar Agile team member.
- Degree in technology, engineering, or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in agile backlog management, Jira or similar tools, working to OKRs, and using AI tools for backlog and requirement refinement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in lean portfolio backlog prioritization and able to sequence work based on value rather than stakeholder seniority.
- Technically literate with ability to challenge engineering estimates and understand reliability trade-offs.
- Data-driven decision maker who iterates the roadmap based on measurable adoption and value rather than stakeholder volume.
