About This Role
- Lead and optimize enterprise cloud rate strategies across Azure and GCP, directly influencing multi-million-pound savings and cloud financial decisions.
- Own and drive the FinOps platform vision, roadmap, and operations including data ingestion, integrations, automation, and vendor management to enable forecasting, chargeback, and optimization.
- Maintain cost allocation standards, reporting, governance, policies, and provide FinOps expertise to multiple stakeholders ensuring data quality and anomaly resolution.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years overall experience with 8–10 years in cloud finance, FinOps, or technology cost management.
- Proven experience in managing cloud cost optimization including savings plans, commitments, consumption analysis, and savings realization on Azure and GCP.
- Hands-on experience with cloud cost management platforms covering roadmap prioritization, allocation, reporting, APIs, automation, access control, and vendor support.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in translating complex cloud pricing and consumption data into actionable financial and technical recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability in vendor evaluations, commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and multi-stakeholder collaboration across Finance, Procurement, Cloud Engineering, and Leadership.
- Strong analytical judgment combined with stakeholder management and commercial acumen to balance rate optimization, platform improvement, and operational priorities.
