About This Role
- Design, develop, and automate test plans for Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking features including switching, routing, resiliency, and high-availability scenarios.
- Perform platform-level testing such as hardware bring-up, interface and forwarding-path verification, software upgrades, redundancy, failover, and scale testing.
- Analyze failures, debug complex software-hardware-network issues, automate test frameworks using Python (PyTest), and support customer escalations by reproducing issues in lab environments.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 2–5 years of experience in networking, platform, or system-level product validation/QA.
- Strong Python test automation skills using PyTest framework; experience with network test equipment is required.
- Role requires onsite work primarily from an HPE office location.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with Layer 2 & Layer 3 networking protocols such as VLANs, LAG/LACP, spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, and multicast concepts.
- Able to validate integrated platforms and solutions considering control-plane and data-plane behaviors, resiliency, and performance under scale.
- Skilled in debugging complex system interactions and collaborating across development, architecture, and customer teams in a test automation context.
