Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Own the technical design of a DPTF platform, defining reference architectures, patterns, and standards to ensure secure, scalable, and consistent solutions across cloud, network, or digital workplace domains.
- Provide design assurance by reviewing engineering designs against standards before build, architecting for reliability and resilience to meet platform SLOs and error budgets, and integrating AI reference patterns for intelligent operations.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Architecture Directors, set standards for supplier and managed-service solutions, evaluate new technologies based on architecture OKRs, and track pattern reuse to reduce rework early in design.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in technology or engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering).
- 15+ years in technology architecture or senior engineering roles, with at least 3 years producing reference architectures or standards for others to implement.
- Deep hands-on expertise in platform domain (cloud, network, or digital workplace) and experience with design assurance or architecture reviews, including rejecting non-compliant designs.
- Experience architecting for reliability and resilience with SLOs/error budgets, designing secure and compliant solutions (including GxP-regulated environments), and setting architecture standards for suppliers and managed services.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced senior architect capable of influencing engineering teams without direct authority to ensure adoption of architectural patterns and standards.
- Strong understanding of AI integration into platforms with awareness or hands-on experience of AI/agentic systems and data readiness assessment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with enterprise and security architecture teams, pragmatically manage technical debt visibility, and maintain rigorous, clear design documentation.
