About This Role
- Own the technical design of GSK's WAN and SDWAN platform including defining reference architectures, patterns and standards for security, scalability, and consistency.
- Provide design assurance and technical guidance to engineering teams, ensuring platform solutions meet reliability (SLOs, error budgets), security, and compliance including GxP requirements before build phase.
- Design AI integration into the platform, setting standards for AI-assisted delivery and intelligent operations, and evaluate new technologies against architecture objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 15 years overall experience, with 6-8 years in technology architecture or senior engineering, including at least 3 years producing reference architectures or standards.
- Degree in technology or engineering discipline or equivalent experience; architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud or network) desirable.
- Deep hands-on expertise in enterprise WAN and SDWAN, including Border Gateway Protocol, resilient routing, quality of service, and carrier services.
- Experience with design assurance processes, reliability and resilience (SLO/error budget), secure and compliant (including GxP) designs, and setting architecture standards for suppliers and managed services.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced platform architect with proven track record in designing and assuring large-scale enterprise wide area network and SDWAN solutions under regulated environments.
- Strong technical leadership demonstrated by influencing engineering teams, enforcing standards, and reducing rework through early design intervention.
- Comfortable integrating AI patterns into network architectures and collaborating closely with Enterprise Architecture and Information Security on cross-domain standards and roadmaps.
