About This Role
- Own, design, build, run, and globally scale backend microservices within an event-driven architecture using Java 17, Spring Boot, and JOOQ.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs treated as products, integrating with third-party providers in a cloud-native AWS environment with PostgreSQL (Aurora) as primary datastore.
- Deploy multiple times daily via CI/CD pipelines and collaborate closely with Product Owners to translate user needs and regulatory requirements into solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience building server-side applications using backend frameworks (preferably Spring/Spring Boot) for microservices exposing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-native environments and CI/CD practices, including practical Agile methodology.
- Willingness to learn and work with Java 17 as most services are Java-based.
- Work Experience Required: Not explicitly mentioned in the JD.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in engineering scalable, reliable backend services in event-driven microservice architectures within fintech or related domains.
- Comfortable working in a highly automated, cloud-first environment using AWS and modern deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD).
- Able to leverage AI and Large Language Models to improve software quality, productivity, and delivery speed.
