About This Role
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and large-scale data processing pipelines primarily using Python and PySpark on AWS.
- Optimize batch and near real-time data processing workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency including ETL/ELT workflows and NoSQL database solutions (DynamoDB).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, maintain data quality and governance, and mentor junior engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and AWS cloud services including EMR, Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, Redshift, ECS/EKS, Step Functions, EventBridge, IAM.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB) and search/analytics tools like OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven ability to design and implement cloud-native big data solutions and data architectures on AWS at scale.
- Experienced in working with structured and semi-structured data and optimizing data lakes, pipelines, and search indices.
- Comfortable collaborating with product teams, mentoring engineers, and operating in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
