About This Role
- Lead multi-quarter technical strategy and execution for backend user-facing product features in a rapidly scaling AI-powered legal application.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Product, and AI teams to drive high-impact initiatives and evolve product architecture.
- Hire, grow, and manage backend engineering teams focusing on simplicity, quality, scaling, and operational excellence, including hands-on contributions as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years in software engineering management leading product engineering teams, preferably in high-growth environments.
- 12+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Experience with backend languages (Python, Java, Go) and modern cloud-native infrastructure.
- Authorized to work in India with no visa sponsorship available.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader in backend product engineering with strong product intuition balancing speed, quality, and user impact.
- Proven ability to anticipate scaling bottlenecks and proactively implement architecture and process improvements.
- Familiarity or exposure to AI-powered applications, complex internal tools, and managing data lifecycle (e.g., building RAG pipelines).
