About This Role
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize high-volume business logic running on mainframe systems to support core data operations.
- Identify opportunities for code optimization and maintain/enhance mainframe performance through monitoring and debugging.
- Lead modernization efforts by refactoring legacy code for integration with cloud-based and mobile applications.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Proficient in coding with languages like Java, Python, or .Net and strong debugging/problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and scalable, robust software design.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, XML/JSON, REST web services, microservices architecture, containers (Docker & Kubernetes), and messaging queues.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in mainframe business logic development and modernization initiatives involving cloud/mobile integration.
- Comfortable working with modern architectures including microservices and containerization.
- Holds or is willing to obtain hyperscaler certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP) and familiar with DevOps and modern engineering practices.
