About This Role
- Lead and manage multiple software engineers and pod leads to develop Caterpillar's eCommerce digital products aligning with CAT Digital Strategy.
- Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle for business and technical solutions impacting dealers and customers globally.
- Establish and mature software engineering capabilities in India, improving processes and engineering best practices for global collaboration and scalable solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
- 15+ years experience in software design and development with Java/Scala; or 10+ years with Java and a master's degree in computer science or related field.
- 3+ years managing cross-functional teams of 8-14 members.
- 5+ years experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader in medium to large-scale software projects with strategic business impact.
- Technical proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, message brokers, NoSQL and relational databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Capable of balancing technical leadership with business judgment in fast-paced environments focused on eCommerce platforms and cloud-native architectures.
