About This Role
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 support and incident management for mission-critical mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, and CICS.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement minor code enhancements including COBOL programming, DB2 queries, and CICS screen updates.
- Manage batch job flows and online transaction environments ensuring 24/7 availability and stable operations.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe application support.
- Expert-level proficiency in COBOL and advanced DB2 skills including SQL, bind/plan, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with CICS, JCL, IBM utilities, and mainframe debugging tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in handling high-pressure production outages and managing 24/7 operational support for mainframe systems.
- Skilled in both application support and minor development/enhancement tasks within complex mainframe environments.
- Exposure to integration between mainframe systems and modern environments (e.g., Cloud, MQ Series/APIs) is advantageous but not mandatory.
