About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Apache Kafka.
- Develop and modernize backend applications supporting Retirement and Financial Services business capabilities in AWS cloud environment.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure resiliency of distributed applications and APIs, participate in architecture and Agile development processes, and mentor engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Java backend software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and Apache Kafka in production.
- Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS and application troubleshooting in production.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in event-driven microservices design and implementation, including Kafka producer/consumer and asynchronous messaging.
- Comfortable working in regulated domains like Retirement or Financial Services and familiar with enterprise software development.
- Has a track record of contributing to software architecture discussions and mentoring team members in Agile environments.
