About This Role
- Migrate approx. 1,000 datasets to Snowflake, adapting data pipelines to maintain quality and reliability.
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, Apache Spark/PySpark, and Apache Airflow.
- Optimize data pipelines and resources for improved performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency; execute platform migrations including Airflow and Hive to Iceberg transitions.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of Data Engineering experience with large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong hands-on skills in Python and advanced SQL; experience with Apache Airflow, Apache Spark/PySpark, and Apache Kafka.
- Practical knowledge of Snowflake, data modeling, Iceberg/Parquet formats, and AWS cloud data platforms (S3, Glue, Athena).
- Experience with data pipeline migration, testing, troubleshooting, CI/CD, GitHub; Snowflake and Airflow migration experience is an advantage.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in handling large data migrations and adapting complex data pipelines across multiple platforms.
- Comfortable working with cloud data platforms and advanced data engineering tools within AWS ecosystem.
- Able to provide US timezone coverage and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Engineering and Finance.
