About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python for high-performance web applications.
- Implement and manage real-time communication systems (e.g., WebSockets) ensuring high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems.
- Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade backend services with strong emphasis on code quality, testing, performance tuning, and debugging in production.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 6 years in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Python with experience building REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience with real-time backend integrations including WebSockets, and knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Location: Bengaluru, India (Onsite); Employment Type: Contract; Prior Uber experience strongly preferred but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building scalable, production-ready backend systems with strong expertise in Python and distributed systems.
- Familiar with real-time systems and high-availability architectures, capable of delivering reliable backend services under production constraints.
- Comfortable working onsite in Bengaluru and collaborating across teams to meet accelerated project timelines, ideally with prior experience at Uber or similar large-scale tech environments.
