About This Role
- Own the technical direction, engineering quality, and delivery reliability of product capability pods aligned with defined architecture and data standards.
- Lead design reviews, contribute code for complex or critical-path work, and maintain quality across legacy Java EE and modernized Spring Boot and Angular platforms.
- Coach engineers across seniority levels, ensure production issues are resolved by owning pods, and use engineering metrics to improve delivery performance.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong Java 11 or later skills.
- 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team with accountability for delivery and technical quality.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot (REST APIs, security, data access, configuration, testing) and practical Angular and TypeScript experience.
- Strong SQL and relational database skills; SQL Server experience preferred; experience with Java EE application servers (JBoss Wildfly) and Hibernate or JPA; CI/CD, Git, Maven, containerization, automated testing, and production support experience.

- Experienced in leading teams through incremental modernization of live enterprise products transitioning to modern Java Spring Boot services and Angular frontends.
- Capable of balancing client commitments, platform health, and modernization progress with practical trade-offs.
- Operates as a hands-on full-stack player-coach who guides design/delivery, unblocks migrations, creates reusable patterns, and supports multiple pods without permanent squad attachment.
