About This Role
- Lead development of scalable, performant backend systems and APIs using Node.js, ensuring reusable and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and product managers to build and maintain web and mobile applications and digital platforms.
- Drive modernization of application stack and uphold software engineering best practices including automated testing and CI/CD deployments.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building scalable, data-driven backend systems and APIs.
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership role with experience mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js server-side programming and familiarity with frontend technologies: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS.
- Experience with system design, data architecture, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems (Kafka, SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ), SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS cloud-native architectures, and Agile Scrum methodologies.

- Experienced technical leader capable of independently driving engineering projects with minimal guidance, including incident triage and investigation.
- Skilled in designing complex, modular backend architectures focusing on SaaS and multi-tenant applications.
- Comfortable collaborating across global teams, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to varied audiences, and contributing to reusable codebases and engineering excellence.
