About This Role
- Develop and deploy complex data pipelines and applications for Caterpillar’s digital platform with minimal supervision.
- Drive application development delivering business-critical features while maintaining software quality and mentoring junior developers.
- Communicate with end users and customers to ensure software accuracy, integrity, and completeness, including integrated and customer acceptance testing.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.
- 5+ years of data warehousing and strong SQL experience, or 2+ years with a Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years experience designing and developing data pipelines using Python.
- Position requires working onsite 5 days a week; relocation available.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with designing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale software and data infrastructure at scale, including public cloud services like AWS or Azure.
- Skilled in building large data lakes and warehouses, preferably with Snowflake, Redshift, or Synapse, and strong data modelling expertise.
- Capable of working independently on complex problems, prioritizing assignments, and contributing to medium to large strategic projects within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
