About This Role
- Lead technical direction and architecture decisions for the Core Marketplace team, owning features that drive the majority of company revenue.
- Lead and deliver large, complex cross-team projects involving product managers, designers, and engineers across multiple platforms.
- Mentor engineers and drive org-wide improvements in code quality, technical debt reduction, and developer productivity.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years software development experience with at least 2 years in a lead engineer or equivalent technical leadership role in product development.
- Experience leading multiple engineering teams and building scalable systems with microservices and web-scale availability.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Java; expertise in distributed system design and cloud-native technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of storage technologies including Postgres, Cassandra, Redis, and Elasticsearch.

- Proven ability to balance technical leadership with hands-on coding and system design at scale.
- Experience managing technically complex products focused on user-facing marketplaces and high-value verticals.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with PMs, designers, and multiple engineering teams to deliver impact.
