About This Role
- Lead development of event-driven, real-time data services for in-product applications using technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Set technical direction and engineering best practices including testing, CI/CD, performance, capacity planning, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Collaborate with data architects and senior leadership to align solutions with technology roadmaps and communicate progress across organizational levels.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with Object Oriented Programming (Java, Scala, or Python).
- 5+ years of experience integrating technical processes with business outcomes, including data quality monitoring and architecture.
- 3+ years working with Cloud Technologies; experience with Kafka, DynamoDB, AWS (S3, EMR) is a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Technical leadership experience with multiple complex software projects using agile methodologies, able to lead fast-moving teams.
- Strong distributed systems and database fundamentals with hands-on experience in real-time big data services.
- Ability to operate as a technical mentor and 'go-to' expert in core data platform technologies, influencing cross-functional teams at all levels.
