About This Role
- Own the z/OS segment of a critical C++ software component over a multi-year lifecycle, including development, deployment, optimization, and support.
- Lead issue resolution processes ensuring verification, isolation, correction, testing, and documentation within an agile development framework.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, contribute to roadmap and strategic planning, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Minimum Requirements
- 10 to 12 years of hands-on experience in z/OS technology and development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven proficiency in JCL and batch processing under IBM z/OS, with knowledge of IBM I/iSeries under ILE.
- Experience in at least one programming language among Java, JavaScript, C, C++, or Python required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing long-term, business-critical software components in mainframe environments, specifically z/OS and C++.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams with client collaboration and documentation responsibilities.
- Able to provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers while handling complex issue resolution tasks.
