About This Role
- Provide technical leadership for architecture, strategy, and evolution of Wabtec's Train Handling solutions ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and business objectives.
- Lead complex system design decisions, drive engineering standards, and oversee product lifecycle from concept through deployment and sustainment.
- Champion AI-enabled engineering practices and identify opportunities for intelligent automation, analytics, and autonomous train operations to create measurable customer value.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science from accredited institution.
- Minimum 10 years’ hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, Hardware/Software Engineering, or Data Information Systems design and implementation.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Work Experience Required: Minimum 10 years
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced technical leader in complex, multi-disciplinary system development spanning software, controls, automation, or safety-critical systems.
- Proven ability to influence product strategy, technology roadmaps, and lead cross-functional teams globally.
- Strong expertise or familiarity with AI-enabled technologies, advanced analytics, railroad operations, train control systems, and applicable industry standards (AAR, FRA, CENELEC).
