About This Role
- Build and establish export operations capability in India including processes, controls, and a logistics-provider network for Alfaa UV's international business.
- Own and manage export documentation, customs compliance, HS classification, Country of Origin determination, Incoterms, and adherence to Indian export regulations (IEC, DGFT, ICEGATE, Shipping Bills).
- Lead initial export shipments and scale the export operation while developing SOPs, controls, and reporting metrics for sustainable export compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- 7–10+ years experience in export operations, international logistics, customs, or trade compliance.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Indian export documentation and customs procedures including DGFT, ICEGATE, IEC, and Shipping Bills.
- Practical experience with HS/HSN classification, Country of Origin rules, and Incoterms.
- Experience working directly with freight forwarders and customs brokers to build or significantly improve export processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in establishing or scaling export operations from initial shipments to scalable models, not just executing shipments.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering product environments preferred.
- Proven ability to develop SOPs, controls, compliance processes, and manage international shipments involving multiple countries.
