About This Role
- Provide L1 production support for data pipelines, ETL/ELT jobs, and scheduled data workloads including monitoring, troubleshooting, and executing operational procedures.
- Monitor Apache Airflow DAGs and manage job failures or delays using logs and documented processes.
- Perform basic data validation in BigQuery using SQL and escalate unresolved issues to higher-level engineering teams following runbooks and SLAs.
Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in Data Engineering, DataOps, application support, or production support.
- Basic working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google BigQuery, SQL, Apache Airflow, and Python.
- Ability to work in a production-support environment with shift/on-call coverage as applicable.
- Work Experience Required: 2–3 years as explicitly mentioned in the JD.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with operational support of data pipelines and comfortable working with cloud data stacks, especially GCP and BigQuery.
- Capable of troubleshooting issues using logs and monitoring tools with a disciplined approach to following runbooks and SOPs.
- Able to perform basic data validation and liaise effectively with L2/L3 teams for escalation, indicating a strong operational and collaborative working style.
