About This Role
- Develop and deploy Caterpillar’s digital platform software, focusing on delivering business-valuable features.
- Own complex application and infrastructure components with minimal supervision, including problem identification and resolution.
- Mentor junior developers and ensure high software quality standards through good practices and team improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years software development experience (or 2+ years with a master’s degree).
- 5+ years experience designing and developing Data Pipelines in Python.
- 4+ years experience with data warehousing and deploying/maintaining software on public clouds like AWS or Azure.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with building large data lakes and data warehouses (Snowflake preferred) and proficient in SQL and No-SQL databases.
- Comfortable working independently on complex technical problems and guiding medium to large scale projects with strategic impact.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies (ideally Scrum) and strong foundational CS knowledge including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
