About This Role
- Define and drive technical vision and architecture across multiple engineering teams at Nerdy.
- Architect and deliver highly scalable cross-cutting systems including live learning platforms, data pipelines, and AI/ML infrastructure.
- Lead end-to-end AI architecture including LLM/RAG systems, MLOps/LLMOps, responsible AI guardrails, and performance/reliability metrics (SLOs, observability).
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years software engineering experience with deep expertise in large-scale distributed systems.
- 3+ years leading technical direction across multiple teams.
- Expertise in cloud-native microservices (AWS preferred), data streaming (e.g., Kinesis/Kafka), big data (Spark/Hive), and AI/ML productionization.
- Proficiency in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, coding fundamentals in Python/Java/Go/TypeScript; experience with responsible AI practices and security/compliance (GDPR/CCPA/SOX/NIST).
