About This Role
- Plan and lead category initiatives for a defined sub-category globally, regionally, or multiple categories in a country, including strategy development and demand management.
- Lead proactive sourcing projects, manage supplier performance and innovation, and implement sourcing plans to deliver savings targets (spend range $25M-$100M+).
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, contract negotiation, budgeting, and oversee the performance and development of direct (5-10) and indirect (up to 30) reports.
Minimum Requirements
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations Management, Finance, or General Management from a reputed institution.
- 12-15+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain experience.
- At least 5+ years managing global or regional categories with significant spend responsibility.
- Experience managing annual spend of USD 25M-100M+ across multiple suppliers and markets.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in driving measurable cost savings, value creation, and improving supplier performance at a global or regional level.
- Skilled in translating global or regional procurement strategy into actionable category strategies and sourcing plans.
- Experienced in managing sizable teams (direct and indirect reports) and handling complex supplier relationships in a multi-market environment.
