About This Role
- Build and establish export operations capability in India, including documentation, customs compliance, and logistics networks.
- Create export readiness plans, develop SOPs, controls, and reporting metrics to ensure sustainable export compliance.
- Lead initial export shipments and scale export operations, managing freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers.
Minimum Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in export operations, international logistics, customs, or trade compliance.
- Strong hands-on experience with Indian export documentation and customs procedures including DGFT, ICEGATE, IEC, and Shipping Bills.
- Hands-on knowledge of HS/HSN classification, Country of Origin, and Incoterms.
- Experience selecting and managing freight forwarders and customs brokers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering product environments preferred.
- Proven track record of building, setting up, or significantly improving export processes and compliance frameworks.
- Experience managing international shipments involving multiple countries and scaling export operations from initial shipment stage.
