About This Role
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Java and Apache Spark to support Citi’s data processing platforms.
- Translate business requirements into clean, efficient, and maintainable production-grade technical solutions.
- Optimize platform performance, reliability, and development practices while mentoring junior developers and collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Apache Spark / Big Data development.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with REST APIs, RDBMS, and Kafka or similar messaging systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building and optimizing large-scale distributed data processing systems in Agile environments.
- Operates with strong ownership, collaborating closely with architects, product owners, and DevOps.
- Familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and exposure or interest in Databricks and AI-powered solutions preferred.
