About This Role
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials by monitoring and expediting purchase orders to prevent production delays.
- Coordinate between suppliers, procurement, production, and stores teams to prioritize urgent material requirements and provide regular status updates.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure adherence to delivery schedules, escalate delays, negotiate solutions, and evaluate supplier performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement, expediting, or supply chain roles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally, and MS Excel.
- Strong follow-up and negotiation skills with good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in operational procurement and supply chain environments with focus on expediting and timely delivery.
- Ability to manage cross-functional coordination among suppliers, production, and stores to meet production timelines.
- Skilled in vendor management including negotiation and performance evaluation to mitigate supply chain bottlenecks.
