About This Role
- Lead and manage a Data Engineering team of 6-10, including coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, and career development.
- Develop and execute data engineering strategies to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient data infrastructure and pipelines aligned with business objectives.
- Own data governance, security, compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and act as a subject matter expert liaising internally and externally on data initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 10-13 years experience in data analysis, cloud data platform architectures (Azure or AWS), SQL, Big Data and Analytics development.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
- 1 cloud certification required: AWS cloud practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud Digital Leader.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader in data engineering with demonstrated ability managing and developing multi-person teams (6-10 direct reports).
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure or AWS), data pipelines, and big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, SQL, Python).
- Strategic thinker skilled at aligning data engineering initiatives with business goals and compliance requirements while integrating emerging technologies.
