About This Role
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices with REST APIs using event-driven architectures like Kafka.
- Own end-to-end delivery of backend features and enterprise-scale data platform capabilities, including data acquisition, ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to align engineering solutions with business value and continuously improve engineering practices such as TDD and observability.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years professional software engineering experience at a software product company; services/consultancy experience accepted only if in healthcare payments or similar product domain.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for building production-grade REST APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka event-driven architectures and strong SQL skills for relational database design and query optimization.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or equivalent), CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and observability practices.

- Experienced in domain-driven design, event-driven microservices, and enterprise-scale data platform engineering in a product-focused environment.
- Capable of taking full ownership of software features and data capabilities from ideation through production and ongoing maintenance, with clear communication across functions.
- Skilled in test-driven development, engineering craftsmanship, and mentoring peers, able to influence product decisions and engineering trade-offs effectively.
