About This Role
- Design, develop, and deploy Caterpillar’s digital platform to host a wide range of digital applications.
- Independently manage complex systems or infrastructure components, including application development and problem resolution.
- Lead and mentor software engineers, maintain high software quality standards, and guide documentation and testing efforts.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Five years or more of software development experience OR three years with a master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- At least three years of experience designing and developing software applications in ReactJS.
- Must have experience in Java development (one year or more).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated leadership on small to medium-scale projects impacting strategic priorities.
- Experience with software architectural patterns (MVC, Microservices, Event-driven) and deploying software at scale using CI/CD tools and public clouds (AWS, Azure).
- Comfortable working within Agile frameworks and strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms.
