Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Design and develop high-performance CPU hardware telemetry collection systems leveraging Intel and AMD performance monitoring features for real-time threat detection.
- Implement kernel-mode and user-space telemetry collectors on Windows and Linux, optimizing for low overhead and system stability in production environments.
- Collaborate with security and ML teams to convert telemetry data into actionable security signals and integrate with endpoint detection workflows.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years experience in low-level systems programming, CPU performance engineering, or kernel development.
- Deep expertise in x86-64 CPU microarchitecture across Intel and AMD processors.
- Proficient in C/C++ with strong knowledge of CPU PMUs, hardware performance counters, kernel/user-mode development, and hardware telemetry collection.
- Work Experience Required: 8+ years in relevant fields (systems programming, CPU telemetry, kernel or performance engineering).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Has demonstrated experience building production-grade hardware telemetry collection systems beyond use of existing profiling tools.
- Strong background in CPU microarchitecture combined with practical kernel and driver development skills on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Experienced in performance optimization, cross-architecture telemetry calibration, and integrating hardware signals into security or detection software.
