About This Role
- Design, build, automate, and maintain Storage and Backup cloud platform infrastructure as self-service scalable infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and AI-assisted engineering.
- Engineer reliability by defining SLOs, implementing observability, reducing toil via automation, and integrate/assure partner-managed services to meet platform standards.
- Mentor and lead engineers including partners, uphold engineering standards, contribute to incident response, and enhance platform capabilities by managing technical debt and automation initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in technology or engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 15 years overall work experience, with 6-8 years in cloud, infrastructure, or software engineering; at least 2 years as senior technical lead.
- Strong experience as Storage/Backup Engineer or Architect, with deep understanding of modern storage and backup technologies including cloud native services.
- Practical hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, containers/Kubernetes, AI-assisted engineering tools, and building self-service platforms.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced senior cloud platform engineer with specialization in Storage/Backup services, capable of setting and enforcing engineering best practices and security.
- Skilled in automation-first, secure-by-default, SRE principles including SLO definition, observability instrumentation, and toil elimination.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring teams, integrating supplier/partner delivery, and delivering scalable self-service infrastructure used broadly without hand-holding.
