About This Role
- Set and govern functional-safety strategy and organizational models across the automotive safety portfolio.
- Make executive decisions on safety risks, release posture, and oversee field anomalies and corrective actions.
- Own portfolio planning, competence, independence, succession, and chair critical safety governance and escalation decisions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related).
- 15+ years of automotive engineering leadership with functional safety accountability.
- Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 lifecycle, safety-case, confirmation measures, and Automotive SPICE.
- Experience in portfolio planning, organizational design, customer negotiation, and risk governance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader with track record of measurable delivery and capability improvement in automotive functional safety.
- Skilled in managing cross-functional, cross-domain dependencies and governance models in large portfolios.
- Familiarity with assessor/auditor roles, SOTIF, semiconductor safety, and global Center of Excellence development is preferred.
