About This Role
- Design, build, automate, and maintain Database Services as self-service cloud platform infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and AI-assisted engineering.
- Set and uphold engineering standards including secure-by-default practices, mentor other engineers, integrate and assure partner components to meet quality standards.
- Engineer for reliability by defining SLOs, ensuring observability, reducing manual toil through automation, and contributing to incident response and permanent fixes.
Minimum Requirements
- Overall 15 years experience with typically 6-8 years in cloud, infrastructure or software engineering and at least 2 years as senior technical lead.
- Strong experience as Database Engineer and/or Architect, including hands-on DBA experience and deep understanding of relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform) applied in production environments, CI/CD pipelines, and relevant container and Kubernetes experience.
- Degree in technology or engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience; relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications desirable.
