About This Role
- Design, develop, and own the Data Access interface enabling client data interactions within FactSet Intelligence Platform (FIP).
- Implement and optimize query patterns, APIs, and entitlement enforcement to ensure secure, flexible, and performant data delivery meeting SLA requirements.
- Build and maintain observability features and scalability improvements; mentor junior engineers; participate in on-call production system support.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on API development, query systems, or data infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++ with production-grade client-facing system experience.
- Experience in API design, orchestration layers across multiple backend systems, and working independently and collaboratively on technical initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building low-latency, high-availability distributed systems with focus on scalability and performance optimization.
- Skilled in software design patterns, multithreaded programming, caching strategies, and service-oriented architecture.
- Comfortable owning end-to-end product features impacting client-facing data access and collaborating across cross-functional teams in a technical leadership role.
