About This Role
- Own manual and automation testing for three-app system including APIs, apps, and AI agents with non-deterministic behavior.
- Design and implement sharp, structured test cases and build scalable automation primarily using Playwright for web and APIs.
- Manage defect lifecycle in Linear and own release readiness by participating in sprint ceremonies and driving QA strategy and coverage.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years experience in manual and automation testing.
- Proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress and API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, SQL, REST, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in testing AI/LLM or other non-deterministic systems, comfortable hunting for complex AI failure modes.
- Capable of building automation frameworks from scratch rather than only maintaining existing ones.
- Strong ownership of QA processes with a focus on preventing flaky tests and elevating test strategy beyond routine execution.
