Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Own and improve cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes on GCP and some AWS workloads, ensuring fast, repeatable deployments via CI/CD and GitOps.
- Manage platform observability, reliability, incident response, database performance, caching, and messaging infrastructure with a focus on cost and anomaly detection.
- Lead security posture: enforce least-privilege access, protect sensitive PII data, implement CI/CD security scanning, coordinate vulnerability management, and secure AI products against threats.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or security engineering at a product company handling sensitive or regulated data.
- Proficient with Linux, networking (DNS, TLS, HTTP, load balancing), containers, Kubernetes, and at least one public cloud (GCP/AWS).
- Strong applied security fundamentals including identity and access management, encryption, secrets management, and familiarity with OWASP Top 10.
- Work Experience Required: 4+ years; Notice Period: Not explicitly mentioned in the JD.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced engineer comfortable owning both infrastructure and security responsibilities end-to-end with pragmatic trade-offs between security, speed, and developer experience.
- Has hands-on coding skills (Python, Go, or Bash) to automate and fix issues themselves and can read application code.
- Capable of independent problem-solving using documentation and AI tools to figure out unfamiliar areas effectively and improve security and reliability continuously.
