About This Role
- Develop and maintain M's native Android app built to support real-time, AI-driven conversational experiences with optimal performance across diverse devices and network conditions.
- Own end-to-end feature development including shipping production-ready features and managing parts of app architecture and roadmap.
- Ensure app performance and user experience on low-end devices handling diverse Android device fragmentation and connectivity challenges.
Minimum Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience building and shipping native Android apps using Kotlin to the Play Store.
- Proven experience handling real-device and real-network challenges in Android app development.
- Expertise with real-time data and messaging-style user interfaces.
- Onsite work in Indiranagar, Bengaluru; Full-time office attendance required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building and scaling real-time, chat or voice-heavy Android applications with strong ownership over feature delivery and app quality.
- Capable of managing Android app architecture with emphasis on performance, low memory, and battery usage especially on low-end devices.
- Demonstrates operating style of shipping production code early and owning significant app components within short timelines (30-90 days).
